Frequently asked questions
How early in my pregnancy can I come for a scan?
From about 7 weeks. At that stage the baby is still tiny, but you can usually see the heartbeat. Up to around 12 weeks it helps to come with a comfortably full bladder, because the images are clearer that way.
When can you tell if it’s a boy or a girl?
From 14 weeks. Sometimes the baby is lying in a position where we really can’t see it. In that case you can come back once, free of charge, to try again.
When is the best time for a 3D/4D scan?
Between 25 and 30 weeks you usually get the nicest pictures of the face. After 30 weeks it can still work, but there’s less room. If your placenta is at the front, it’s better to come a little earlier.
Can my partner, children or parents come along?
Of course. The images are shown on a large screen and there is room for your partner, the kids or the grandparents-to-be.
Is a baby ultrasound at ZorgWonder a medical check-up?
No. It is a non-medical scan, purely to see and enjoy your baby. It does not replace the scans by your midwife or hospital. Always keep going to your regular check-ups.
Do I get pictures to take home?
Yes, printed photos are included with every scan. You can add the video and photos on a USB stick or online for a small extra fee. From a 3D/4D scan you can also order a realistic 6D photo for €19.95.
